This up and coming talent is looking at 2013 to be the year he redefines the boundaries of contemporary sax music and takes the house music industry by storm.
An early musician at the age of 7, Dax has developed his unique funky sound from a wide range of influences not only as an interpreter but an arranger of music in a wide variety of styles. Being a devoted funk and soul maestro, the soul cat sounds of Maceo Parker combined with the more contemporary sounds of Candy Dulfer have carved Daxʼs unique soulful tone developed to date.
Currently taking his influences from the deep soulful underground sound of the Miami house vibes, Dax is beginning to make a true name for himself where sophistication and class all come as standard. Daxʼs achievements to date have been wide ranging; successfully touring his own jazz funk band round many parts of England and being noticed by Jamie Cullum as one of the most exciting talents of our age during The Big Audition competition with Charlese Allen.
It is Daxʼs strong musical pedigree and proven experience that have enabled his effortless transition into the realm of house music. Dax proven ability has enabled him to align himself with the best in the business and it would appear that he is growing from strength to strength as a contemporary musician. With a recommendation from friend and Radio One DJ Danny Howard, Dax signed to Unlimited Musician’s Management in 2012 and has since secured residencies under the guidance of fellow sax player Tom Lormor (Tomdalips). Having played all over the UK, Dax has managed to secure residencies at Henry’s Bar (Lytham), Sobar (Clitheroe) and Manchester’s no.1 celebrity club the Circle. Dax’s most notable achievement to date came at the back end of 2012 when he played his first international gig for world wide music giant HedKandi in Georgia.
His quick fingering combined with his deep and soulful funky tone have given Dax the foundation to excel in the house music scene, whilst his natural ability to interpret modern dance music captivates his every audience. Dax has entertained A-List audiences including David Haye, Cheryl Cole, George Sampson, Rudimental, Mario Ballotelli, Ryan Giggs and Michelle Keegan whilst also being fortunate enough to play alongside some big players in the game including DJ Jakki Degg, Chris Frater, Carl Hanaghan, Brandon Block, Stuart Ojelay, DJ G2, Danny Latimer and Sick Electric.
